Sigh. This why Family aspiration sims are generally my least favourite to play. Their Wants slots get blocked up by stuff like this, and otherwise they just wanna keep popping out more kids! I think it might be time to get Georgie a secondary aspiration.

The Amandine Legacy 1.08

Hello and welcome to the first update of The Amandine Legacy in 2022! Can you believe that it's been almost an entire year since I posted the first update? Both so much and so little has happened in this time. But hey, we all go at our own pace, and I'm really thankful that I chose to start posting this series at all.
Anyway, what have the Amandines been doing since we last saw them?

Not much. We're picking up right where we left things last time. Everybody's still pretty upset about the burglar's visit during the night.

Hello friends, and welcome back to The Amandine Legacy. Now that I've finished Uni for the year, I finally have the time and energy to work on near-monthly updates again! Anyway, what have the Amandines been up to?

The Amandine Legacy is back! It's been entirely too long, and I'm sorry about that. Let me quickly summarise the events of the previous update: Georgie and Charles returned from their Honeymoon, Charles almost died by fire, and Generation 2 officially began with the birth of Luis and Rowan Amandine.

I'll try to be light on the commentary in the update this time. It'll be a short update anyway, due to some reasons I'll explain a little bit later.

The Amandine Legacy 1.04 - The Honeymoon

Hello and welcome back to another update of The Amandine Legacy. This is a bit of a special update today where not much really happens, but the Board Game Legacy Challenge rules demanded that these newlyweds go on a Honeymoon, so here we are. I tried to take it easy on the commentary this time, in the hope that I'd be able to get this update out sooner. I was wrong.

Today's the big day!

I guess it's only fair for Charles to invite a friend to his own wedding, but we'll have to buy another chair. You're on thin ice, Charles!

Charles headed home soon after. Probably needed some time to cool off after that whirlwind of a Blind Date.

Another day, another unsuccessful job hunt. This is starting to become a problem.

Luckily this adorable stray cat, Raindrop, decided to walk by and brighten Georgie's day.

Alright! Time for the first update of The Amandine Legacy. If you're coming from the introduction post, thanks for sticking around. If not, check it out for more information about the Board Game Legacy Challenge rules I'll be following.
Anyway, enough dawdling around, let me introduce you to our founder...

Georgie Amandine!

I'm extremely excited to announce...

My first attempt at a legacy challenge, The Amandine Legacy! After reading the two Round Robin legacies happening on Tumblr, and discovering RocketHorse's hilarious Kopper Legacy, I decided I wanted to start my own.
But this ain't no regular legacy: this is a Board Game Legacy Challenge, an eight-generation challenge where each generation is associated with a different colour (like the different coloured properties on a Monopoly board) and has its own challenges based off of other board games such as The Game of Life, Scrabble, Candyland, and so on.
The rules were written by Simppl-Life, and you can read them here. Otherwise, the original Legacy Challenge rules apply, but I'm not following them down to the nail (I'll explain why whenever it comes up). In the more relaxed generations, I’ll work on some challenge categories from the original Legacy Challenge rules, but I won’t be calculating points or anything. All I’m aiming for is to complete each generation’s unique challenges and get to the birth of Generation 9, then I’ll pat myself on the back and consider it done.
So what kind of challenges should you expect in this legacy? Here’s the description for Generation 1:

Anyway, the first proper update will be here soon, where I'll introduce our legacy founder! See you next time!
